Description

Up for consideration is a very heavy, old antique Bronze statue of SHIVA and NANDI. It is in 2 parts. Shiva rides on the center of the back of Nandi. Shiva is one of the principle deities of Hinduism.  Nani the bull is the bearer of truth and righteousness. Shiva is the Auspicious one. Known as Mahadeva. Shiva is the god of destruction. This statue is quite old. It looks like it should be in a museum. It is very heavy. The 2 part construction is quite nice for the detail..excellent natural patina........a very warm bronze color. Very well taken care of. Given lots of gentle care. Almost 8 inches high. Several pounds. This a very nice and rare statue.
