Antique Japanese Primitive Makeup Jewelry Box Mirror Pewter Lead Metal Geisha

Description

An unusual example of Japanese metal work. The metal is incredibly soft and I am assuming has a high lead content.
The silvered mirror is in the lid of the box.
The box is etched to depict a scene of three Geisha women .
It has a bit of a primitive feel
The box is stamped on the bottom.
I have been unable to find another example that is similar.
I believe it is quite old but I have been unable to date them with any certainty.
Belonged to a WWII vet who served in the 101 Screaming Eagles and attended specialist school in Japan after the war.
There were several pieces in his collection made from similar materials listed separately.
