    Description

For sale are a pair of Fisherbrand 10-mm, glass spectrophotometer cells that have never been used.  They come with fitted PTFE covers and the original case.  They have a 3.0 mL capacity and height of 45 mm.  In 2016, a pair sold for 0.80. These are thermally bonded cuvettes made in Germany by Hellma. Save 20% each by buying two pairs.
There is a difference between thermally bonded and glued cuvettes.
Glued cuvettes often cannot meet the requirements of high temperatures and high chemical resistance and fall apart or become leaky when exposed to these conditions. The consequence is a contaminated measuring instrument. T
    hermally bonded cuvettes
are made by heating the assembled glass components to a temperature well below the melting point of the glass used in an oven. The heating causes an increase in the connection to the joined glass surfaces. Through this process, the final product is
    monolithic
    - made of one piece. There are no changes to the optical surfaces and the planarity of the polished surfaces is retained. Overall, an ideal foundation for conducting reliable, reproducible and exact measurements
